About Me

I took my first yoga classes 30 years ago in Fargo, ND. I  practiced in my home with a Patricia Walden VHS cassette tape. I admired her poise and grace in a white unitard but was more fascinated by her fluid drop backs. She still teaches today and attending one of her classes is on my to do list.

After high school, I trained and worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. This is where my fascination and amazement of the human body and anatomy began.

Later, I trained with Theresa Murphy at One Tree Yoga in Omaha, NE and with Tias and Surya Little at Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, NM. I earned 500-hour certifications from both. I am certified to teach and use SATYA (a therapeutic slide and glide style of yoga). I believe this movement style can make you feel better both inside and out.

In 2022 I received my Yoga Therapy certification through Prajna Yoga. I am excited to gently assist people individually live life with mobility, motility and in the present moment.

I consider myself a forever student. I will continue to take classes and find new learning journeys.

I am currently a student of Somatic Experiencing International. This is a 3 year program that helps individuals move through trauma and grief. This is a new tangent on my yoga path and I plan to use this with people that are struggling.

I presently live on an acreage in Fort Calhoun, NE. It’s a beautiful place where I can garden, tend chickens and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Inside, I always have projects in the works.

My husband of 41 years and I have raised 4 children. Our 2 youngest, adopted from Romania are adults now!
